Holidays Can Be Difficult.

We all love the holidays with there lights and tinsel and packages. Not to say all the baked goods that fill our homes with the aroma of cakes and cookies and candies. But above all this, the Holiday would be empty if it wasn't for our families. It isn't the getting together and making memories really what makes the holiday special? When you can't be with those you love it just kind of feels empty. I watch this here at our home. Some of our residents have children or family close by that can have the privilege of coming and taking their loved ones home for the day or a few hours. But some do not have that choice. We always make a dinner and have gifts and things for everyone. Even though we love them and try to make it special I still can't, and I do not want to take the place of their special family. I love it when the family calls and makes their mom or dad feel loved and cherished. Sending a little package too even makes it more special. I love to have the tree full underneath so that they have plenty to open and know that they were not forgotten. I know also that these families that are not close by have also struggled because they miss their mama or dad or grandma or grandpa. So has we enter this holiday season lets pray for those who can not always be with family or loved ones. If any of you have any suggestions for me on how to make this day more special for our residents I would love to hear them.
Welcome to our home! In these pages are some of the fun memories with your loved ones.

Thank you so much for sharing them with us and intrusting them into our care. They are very dear to our hearts. We laugh together and cry together and Praise God together.

We are happy to serve our community here in Michigan. We take private and state pay residents ages 60 and up. This is God's home and it has been dedicated to Him in loving service.

We are a family here. Your loved ones come be in a family setting instead of a formal home. Stop in for a visit and see what we are like and get to know us a bit.

We also have family worship which they are welcome to attend if they choose. With singing and guitar.
May God richly bless all of you, and maranatha! Jesus is coming!
