Gerold

I took this picture this summer. It turned out good. He is such a sweetie. I asked him this morning if he was my sweetie and he said no I don't think so. I then responded with well you are not a sour are you? He just let out a good laugh and said no I guess not. I will be sweetie!!

Helper Grandpa

We were peeling and freezing bananas for smoothies and he had to get in on the action. He even ate a bite or two.

Spoiling Mildred

Mildred was chilly so I took her feet and put them in a pan of warm water before she went to bed. I also gave her a pedicure. She loved it.

Crazy and Goofy

She was so talkitive and wanted me to climb in and sit in the chair beside her. So when I did we were laughing and being goofy. I took out my cell phone and told her to stick out her tongue and I would too and I took our picture. She laughed and laughed when she saw it.

A Great day for Mildred

Mildred was having a very good day. I did her hair after her shower. She even gave me a smile when I was all done. This is one of her new shirts her son sent her. She was cozy warm.

In loving memory of Nina Sprayman

Nina and her husband Wayne were our first residents. They moved in July of 2006. They truely stole our hearts. Nina and I had a bond that could not be broken. She became my spiritual mentor. She also comforted me through the loss of my mother this year. Her is a bit of who Nina was.
She was born in 1918 in Wisconsin. Later her family moved to Cedar lake where she went to school clear through her twelveth grade. She met and then married Wayne Spraymen in1942. She graduated from Melbe Academy of Beauty Culture and owned her own beauty shop in Lansing. Then later she got her practical nursing at Delta College. She and her husband moved to Harrison. She worked as Assistant Director of Nursing at Clare Nursing home for 27 years. She also taught Nursing assistant classes for Mid Michigan College and Home health aide classes for the American Red Cross.
She was an avid bird watcher and loved to work in her yard and gardens. She also loved to entertain. She read her bible through many times. Including the last 6 months of her life she read it through again. She also published many poems with National Poets Society.
Nina was a very accomplished women. She loved to have fun and was full of laughter. I miss our long talks and her keeping me in line. LOL
Thankyou Nina for all you have done to touch the lives of others.

Mildred's Coloring spells

Christmas and puppies

Gerold let me put this Santa hat on him. He wouldn't leave it on for to long though.

This is kinda dark but it was grandpa and I getting in the holiday spirit.

Gerold by the tree. He helped to decorate some.

I was busy in the kitchen cooking lunch when I looked up and saw Grandpa with this tissue over his mouth. I went out and asked him what he was doing and he told me he was waiting to catch a mouse. He gave me a good chuckle when he told me it wasn't working!!

This is Stella the newest addition to our family. She is six weeks old and has stolen everyones hearts. As you can see she has made many friends. I think the funniest yet was when she was running and fell over and Gerold said. Oh dear a mosquito hit her.

When Mildren got the puppy in her arms she refused to let go. She just looked and looked at her.
Grandpa holding Stella close. He thinks she is the tiniest dog he has ever seen.

All tired out after such a hard day.

Tomato Eater

I had found grandpa coming in the back door no teeth sucking the insides of a tomato. He said to me in toothless lingo, somebody stole my teeth. Then I found him back in the garden minutes later after getting his teeth eating this tomato.

Grandpa playing Santa

We were decorating for Christmas and Grandpa and I were wearing our Santa hants. Helped put a few balls on the tree.
Welcome to our home! In these pages are some of the fun memories with your loved ones.

Thank you so much for sharing them with us and intrusting them into our care. They are very dear to our hearts. We laugh together and cry together and Praise God together.

We are happy to serve our community here in Michigan. We take private and state pay residents ages 60 and up. This is God's home and it has been dedicated to Him in loving service.

We are a family here. Your loved ones come be in a family setting instead of a formal home. Stop in for a visit and see what we are like and get to know us a bit.

We also have family worship which they are welcome to attend if they choose. With singing and guitar.
May God richly bless all of you, and maranatha! Jesus is coming!
